I've tried several different pickups. Currently have an Electric City RD 59 in the bridge, and a Gibson '57 in the neck. With notes fretted it still sounds dead. This is easy to repair and all you have to do is take it to a music store that will repair it....

Web10 de dez. de 2004 · Everything that's been suggested so far is a possible cause of buzzing , but if it's from the fifth upward it's less likely to be a problem with the nut or string trees. Dressing the bridge saddle is a good one to try - assuming the string sits in the centre of it in the first place and hasn't moved over to touch the height-adjusting allen screw.
