It is a 5 mile hike up the Signal Ridge Trail to the tower, slightly longer if you approach through the Wilderness Area and up Desolation trail. WebNight hike back to the pond (not too difficult, good night hiking practice). In the morning, wake up early and re-summit North Kinsman for an awesome sunrise. Head back down, pick up camp, and stop at Lonesome Lake on the way out. There are some challenges to this hike, but it's not very long and the views are rewarding.
